Management of the Championship
The organizer of the tournament is the Georgian Domino Federation.
Championship Terms, Application, Registration of Participants, Time and Venue
Participating pairs must register on the official website of the Georgian Domino Federation GDF.GE. Afterwards, they will be assigned a registration number. With the assigned number, the pair becomes a participant in the championship.
One of the players from the pair (the team captain) must be registered in the respective district. If the second participant is not registered in the given district and is registered in another region, they can only participate in the championship of the given district. A player does not have the right to register a second time.
The championship will be held in two stages: the qualifying stage and the final stage. The qualifying stages will be held in Tbilisi districts from June to September 2026. The exact date of the event will be communicated to the participants after registration, 10 days prior to the start of the competition. The winning, semifinalist, and quarterfinalist pairs will secure a spot for the final stage. The final stage will take place between September and October 2026 in Mushtaidi or Vera Park. The venue and exact date for the final stage participants will be announced additionally.
The age of the participant is defined as any citizen residing in Georgia over the age of 18.
Tournament System, Conditions, and Awarding
In the qualifying stage, the participating pairs will be matched through a draw based on their assigned registration numbers.
The competition will be held up to 355 points under the Olympic (single-elimination) system, requiring 2 wins to advance. The "dry score" (blank/shutout) rule does not apply. In the event of a tie (one win each), the winning pair will be determined through an additional match.
Pairs defeated in the quarterfinals will be awarded the 5th place and will secure a spot for the final stage.
The winning teams in the semifinals will play in the final. The defeated teams will be awarded honorable third places and will be presented with bronze medals.
The winning pair in the final will be awarded a cup and medals, and the runner-up pair will be awarded medals. Quarterfinalists and semifinalists (8 pairs from each district) will secure a spot for the final stage.
Refereeing and Disciplinary Sanctions
The championship will be served by referees deployed from the Georgian Domino Federation, who will supervise each match.
Only participants and referees are allowed at the playing table. The presence of unauthorized persons in the playing area is prohibited.
Matches will be conducted in accordance with the principles of Fair Play.
In case of violation of playing discipline, a participant will receive a warning – a yellow card. In case of a repeated violation, a red card will be issued, resulting in a loss for the match. In case of a black card, the pair will be disqualified from the tournament.

General Domino Rules
Domino game rules for the pairs category: Four players form two pairs, sitting diagonally opposite each other and playing as teams. Each player receives 7 tiles. The player who has the double 6:6 tile starts the game. Tiles are distributed without a reserve, meaning all tiles are in play.
The next round is started by the player who won the previous round or declared a “fish” (blocked game). The points of the losing pair in each round are added together and recorded by the winners. In the case of a “fish,” the points are awarded to the pair with fewer points than their opponents. If the remaining points between the pairs are equal, it is declared an “egg” (draw). The winner of the next round receives both the opponent’s remaining points and the points remembered from the “fish.”
The winning pair is the one that first reaches 355 or more points, provided the match is not blocked. In the case of a blocked game (“fish”), the match continues until one pair finishes the game. If a pair loses without reaching 200 points, they receive a dry loss, which counts as 2 penalty points and 2 losses.
